Designers often look to the past for inspiration and many times you can see the influence staring right at you from the runway. Why spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars for a designers interpretation of the past when you can own your own piece of it?
CURRENT TRENDS
COMING SOON...I am working on getting this page developed as we speak. It will have links to current fashion trends and updates on t he news "must have" looks for the season. Of course we don't want you flocking to magazines and opinions like mindless cattle (its a figure of speech, I know cattle have minds), but it does help to know what is going on with color and silhouettes (garment shapes) when trying to blend vintage with what is available in the current market place.
I also want you to see how the designers copy vintage all the time, it is the nature of the game, New and Old designers revamp fashion history with fresh eyes all the time, it all rotates around and around. This is a positive thing for those who love vintage. It allows you to smoothly combine the two worlds, but best of all you can do so at affordable prices. A designer pair of "retro styled" stiletto heels may run you $250-$750 (we are not even talking Manolo's here) but an excellently crafted vintage pair will likely run under $100 out the door. Ah! The beauty of looking chic without breaking the bank.
